We encourage all of our 8th graders to apply to one of our great Catholic high schools in Chicago. There are scholarships and financial aid available to help offset the cost, so please keep your options open by choosing one to test at and apply to.
Pre-registration will be available this year (different than past years) and pre-registration will be open on most high school websites on Friday, November 17. Pre-registering at the high school of your choice is highly advised. You may only take this test once and it should be at the high school that you are most likely to accept if given an offer.
Please contact the school of your choice if you have any questions about the process. Mr. O'Rourke is also a great resource for information about the high school entrance process with Catholic schools.
Each 8th grader should bring 2-3 sharp #2 pencils and $25 cash for the fee. Please have your student get a good night's sleep on Friday, have a good breakfast including protein, and arrive early so your student is not stressed out about being late. Bringing mints into the test area may be allowed. This can help the student stay alert if the room is warm or if they start to tire out. ASK the school if mints are allowed.
Best of luck to all who will sit for this test!
