SUMMER MARKETING PROJECTS FOR PARENT VOLUNTEERS

Summer is a great time to get started on your parent volunteer hours AND to help us fill the school with great new families by helping us with marketing the school! There will be relaxing jobs, active jobs, fun jobs, jobs for talkers, and jobs for walkers! I can use the help of many people in our efforts to continue reaching out to new families.

PLUS, one of the best things about helping with Summer Marketing is that you get a limited-edition Summer Marketing t-shirt, only available to those who help out with these events!

SCHOOL INFO TABLE AT THE ST. PASCAL CARNIVAL - June 13 - 16
We will have a School Information Booth under the big tent at the Carnival. You will help promote the school, sign people up for school tours, and pass out information. You can count any amount of hours that you help at the School Information Table. SIGN UP HERE.

This is not the same as ticket sales, food sales or other volunteering that the parish needs help with. You can volunteer to help them out in addition. Their sign up with come out soon. You can count up to 5 hours of time helping them.

NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS CANVASSING WITH POSTERS - Pick up posters any time after June 5
We are in constant need of help keeping stores, coffee shops, park buildings, libraries, neighborhood kiosks, etc. updated with our latest posters/flyers. I will have summer event posters ready by June 5 for pick up at either campus. Plan to take 20 posters and get a roll of scotch tape then cover your favorite neighborhood with our info! DAYCARE OUTREACH PROJECT - Brainstorming meeting Monday, June 17 at 2 pm North Campus
We are looking for a small task group of parents from each campus to help us target day care centers or in-home daycares that would be interested in partnering with us to share our information with their families whose kids are aging out of day care.  We can provide them with some promotion to our parents for babies and tots, and we can offer Wolf Pup classes for their clients. NEIGHBORHOOD CANVASSING - June 24 - July 1, daytime hours
We will be hanging door tags on houses throughout the neighborhoods of all of our founding parishes. This job includes a ton of walking and can be tiring. The idea is to cover as much ground as possible and cover as many door handles as possible! If you AND your spouse, or your adult sibling, high school child, or friend help, you will get hours for each adult/young adult helping. If your older student (5th grade through 8th grade) can help you cover ground faster, their time will count for half. 8th graders and high school students can EITHER count this for their own service hours OR count them toward family hours, but not both. NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS CANVASSING
We will be posting flyers and postcards in local businesses throughout the summer. We will need lots of help with this. If you can help regularly, that would be even better (ie. once every 2-3 weeks go back to make sure posters are still up, or swap out old posters for new posters). We need to grow our presence throughout the Northwest side!! SIGN UP HERE.

PORTAGE PARK FARMERS MARKET and JEFFERSON PARK FARMERS MARKET
We will once again have a School Information Booth at the Portage Park and Jefferson Park Farmers Markets. With each one we will need people to help set up our booth as well as help set up and tear down other vendor tents to “pay” for our booth participation. During the Farmers Markets our volunteers will sit at our tent and pass out info, talk about our school, offer face painting or some other fun kids’ activity, etc. Sign up will be posted once we have the dates.

NEW STUDENT “WELCOME” GIFT BAGS - Various dates in early August - TBD
We started a great new tradition last year and we need help expanding our efforts this year. We will produce more Wolf Pack Tote bags and fill them with welcome gifts for our new students AND deliver them to the door of the new families! This is a really fun project to do with friends and with kids, especially is you were new last year and were excited by these gifts! Sign up will be posted when there is more information available.

SCHOOL INFORMATION TABLE AT ST. TARCISSUS FESTIVAL
We will set up our school tent with tables and pass out school information, set up tours, provide something fun for the kids…face painting, coloring sheets, or a simple game, etc. Sign up will be posted when more information is known.
